 1. Accessing the BCPS Digital Content Portal

• Users must access BCPS-licensed Digital cContent through this portal. Here are the quickest file-paths:

   From SCHOOL or HOME: BCPS Homepage > Students > Research, Study and 
                                                                                            Learning Resources

From SCHOOL: Destiny desktop icon > Databases 

• Passwords are required for home access to BCPS-licensed Digital Content. 
• Teachers can click the PASSWORDS link on the portal for access through BCPS Intranet.
• Students do not have online access to passwords and must be provided with a paper copy.
• Passwords may NOT be posted on any public webpage or wiki as these are fee-based subscriptions.  

2. Why should teachers and students use Digital Content?

• Use 'em or lose 'em! BCPS and the State of Maryland (through the MDK12 Digital Library) pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for teacher/student access to these resources. Usage statistics are used to justify continued funding.
